Chung Eui-sun, the eldest son of Honorary Chairman Chung Mong-koo, is a cousin of Chung Ki-sun, the eldest son of Chung Mong-joon, Chairman of the Asan Foundation. Chung Eui-sun, 51 years old this year, is 12 years older than Chung Ki-sun, who is 39.
On the day CES 2022 opened, Chairman Chung first visited the Hyundai Heavy Industries booth rather than the Hyundai Motor booth to tour the exhibition hall. It is interpreted as a gesture of support from Chung Eui-sun, the eldest grandson of the Hyundai family, for his cousin Chung Ki-sun's CES debut stage. They also departed for Las Vegas on the same flight from Incheon International Airport on the 3rd.
Chairman Chung visited the booth immediately after CEO Chung introduced innovation cases and future visions in key business areas such as shipbuilding and marine, energy, and engineering of Hyundai Heavy Industries Group. It is reported that Chairman Chung listened attentively to CEO Chung's presentation from behind the stage. In particular, Chairman Chung also experienced receiving a drink brought by a cafeteria robot at the Hyundai Heavy Industries booth together with CEO Chung.
Chairman Chung stayed at the Hyundai Heavy Industries booth for about 10 minutes before heading to the Hyundai Motor booth. The day before, he held a press conference showcasing Hyundai Motor's future robotics vision, including metaverse mobility.
