This agreement includes ▲support for motorcycle rider insurance premiums ▲changes in delivery fee calculation standards ▲establishment of a mutual aid association. Accordingly, riders contracted with Woowa Brothers will receive insurance premium support of up to 1 million KRW annually. The insurance premium support will be provided for up to two years to motorcycle subscribers who have a basic delivery agency contract for more than one year, with delivery performance of at least 20 deliveries per day and 200 days per year. Those enrolled in comprehensive paid insurance will receive 1 million KRW per year, and those with paid liability insurance will receive 500,000 KRW per year for two years.
Additionally, the delivery fee calculation standard has been changed from the previous straight-line distance to the actual navigation distance. Riders will now receive delivery fees reflecting the actual distance traveled. Both parties also agreed to jointly work towards launching a mutual aid association for delivery workers. Once established, the mutual aid association will provide support through the association in case of accidents during delivery, which is expected to help expand the safety net for riders.
Earlier, on the 24th of last month, both parties reached a tentative labor-management agreement based on these contents. The negotiation was finalized after a union member vote held between the 30th of last month and the 2nd of this month passed with a 77% turnout and 79% approval rate.
