[Weather] Daytime Highs Up to 30 Degrees... 'Early Summer Heat' Arrives
On Thursday, the 14th, early summer heat is expected as daytime temperatures will rise to 30 degrees Celsius.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, starting from this day and for the time being, temperatures will remain higher than the seasonal average (morning lows of 9 to 14 degrees Celsius and highs of 20 to 25 degrees Celsius). The morning low on this day is expected to range between 12 and 16 degrees Celsius, while the daytime high will be between 18 and 31 degrees Celsius.

View original imageThe forecasted morning lows for major cities are as follows: Seoul 16 degrees, Incheon 14 degrees, Chuncheon 14 degrees, Gangneung 16 degrees, Daejeon 14 degrees, Daegu 15 degrees, Gwangju 15 degrees, Busan 15 degrees, and Jeju 15 degrees. The forecasted daytime highs are: Seoul 31 degrees, Incheon 29 degrees, Chuncheon 30 degrees, Gangneung 20 degrees, Daejeon 30 degrees, Daegu 27 degrees, Gwangju 30 degrees, Busan 24 degrees, and Jeju 24 degrees.
Skies will be mostly clear nationwide, but the Jeolla region and northwestern inland areas of Gyeongnam will see occasional cloudiness from the afternoon into the evening. Expected precipitation is 5 to 20 millimeters in Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk, and 5 to 10 millimeters in the northwestern inland of Gyeongnam. In areas where showers occur, there may be gusty winds accompanied by thunder and lightning, so special attention should be paid to safety accidents.
