Ssangyong Information & Communications, Korea Education & Research Information Service Sign Supply Contract for '4th Generation Intelligent NEIS'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Jeong-su] Ssangyong Information & Communications announced on the 4th that it has completed the supply contract with the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) up to the second year for the '4th Generation Intelligent NAIS Construction (Application SW Development Phase 2)'.
The scale of the 4th Generation Intelligent NAIS construction project is 68.7 billion KRW. Among this, Ssangyong Information & Communications' contract amount totals 32.9 billion KRW.
Ssangyong Information & Communications will contribute to the digital government innovation project by supplying △Education Administration Information System △Online and Offline Converged Education Support △Intelligent Multi-Cloud Based System for this project.
The 4th Generation NAIS utilizes the latest IT technologies such as cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and blockchain. It supports new education policies for about 20,000 nationwide kindergartens, elementary, and secondary schools, education administration agencies, overseas Korean schools, and universities, and reorganizes into a sustainable education administration information system.
A representative of Ssangyong Information & Communications said, "We were recognized for our cloud construction technology and thus continued this project," adding, "We will actively engage in public institution cloud transition projects and establish ourselves as a leading cloud company."
