Shinhan Play, First Financial Platform to Offer NFT Registration and Inquiry Service
My NFT Service Launch
Store and View Meaningful Items and Cherished Moments as NFTs
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 4th that it has launched the 'My NFT' service, the first domestic financial platform to apply non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Any Shinhan Card customer can register items they own or moments they want to cherish as NFTs, and can view the registered NFTs anytime through Shinhan Play.
This service launch is the first case among domestic financial platforms to utilize NFTs. It is built on Kakao's blockchain platform Klaytn, allowing any customer to easily and conveniently create NFTs through KakaoTalk, with connectivity and expansion possible to global NFT platforms.
This service, conducted in collaboration with blockchain specialist company Block Odyssey, does not apply NFT trading or distribution functions, but only allows NFT creation and viewing.
In the future, Shinhan Card plans to expand the ecosystem by connecting with companies and platforms utilizing NFTs. Currently, it is building NFT services for authenticating various products including Sneakers in partnership with Bungaejangter, a strategic partner, and plans to promote platform connections with manufacturers and distributors as well.
