Ha Tae-kyung "Suspicion of Lee Jun-seok's Sexual Bribery Allegation, Suspects Democratic Party Behind"... Kang Yong-seok "Conspiracy Theory"
Hataekyung "The Biggest Beneficiary of the Clash is the Democratic Party"
Kang Yongseok "They Are Coming Up with Absurd Conspiracy Theories"
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, expressed suspicion that "(the Democratic Party) might be behind" the allegations of sexual bribery involving Lee Jun-seok, the party leader.
On the 28th, during YTN Radio's 'Lee Dong-hyung's News Face-off,' Ha responded to a question about how not only the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (Gaseyeon) but also conservative YouTubers have been continuously attacking Lee, saying, "It is true that the clashes are intensifying."
He added, "In the case of Gaseyeon, there are questions about how the prosecution's investigation materials were leaked in their entirety," and said, "Isn't there some kind of covert political operation behind this? And of course, the Democratic Party is behind such operations."
He further stated, "Gaseyeon actually said, 'Even the Democratic Party knows all about this,' which suggests that whoever provided the materials must be connected to the Democratic Party. After all, who benefits from destroying Lee? It would be the Democratic Party," adding, "The Democratic Party is the biggest beneficiary of this conflict. This case should be suspected as a political operation."
In response, the host said, "Democratic Party lawmakers argue that since presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol is from the prosecution, people under him might have provided the materials."
Ha replied, "I think it's a counter-operation," and said, "How could someone who has completely lost ties with the prosecution extract such materials? Personally, during the primary election period, someone connected to the Democratic Party offered me, 'Would you be interested in these materials about candidate Yoon?'"
Regarding this, Kang Yong-seok, a lawyer who operates Gaseyeon, criticized on his Facebook on the 29th, saying, "Ha, who majored in physics and is a 'law novice,' should ask a knowledgeable lawyer before speaking," and added, "He is spouting baseless conspiracy theories about the prosecution's records being leaked in their entirety without knowing anything."
He continued, "Prosecution investigation records can never be leaked externally while the prosecution is conducting an investigation. However, in cases like this one, where the Supreme Court ruling was finalized years ago, dozens of lawyers who defended the accused possess the investigation and trial records. In cases with dozens of victims like this, it is common for lawyers representing the victims to also hold investigation and trial records."
Additionally, Lawyer Kang said, "Gaseyeon received a tip about this case from a victim and was handed the entire case records as PDF files," and added, "Records of cases with finalized rulings are very common."
Previously, Gaseyeon claimed, "Leader Lee received sexual favors from Kim Sung-jin, CEO of iKist, at a hotel in Daejeon in 2013. This was confirmed through investigation materials from the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office." 'iKist' is an information and communication technology company recognized as a 'creative economy' enterprise during the Park Geun-hye administration.

In response, Lee denied the sexual bribery allegations surrounding him, stating, "The content broadcasted by Gaseyeon was based on statements from suspects in a fraud case unrelated to me, attacking me," and added, "If any issues regarding me had been found during the investigation of the company iKist, it would have been investigated at that time, but I have never been investigated or contacted about this matter even once."
