Ministry of SMEs and Interpark Open 'Sodamsanghoe', a Premium Store for Small Business Owners
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The private-sector-led premium store for small business owners, 'Sodamsanghoe with Interpark,' where customers can directly experience various excellent small business products in-store and purchase them online to receive at home, is starting operations at Blue Square in Hannam-dong.
On the 29th, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced the opening of 'Sodamsanghoe with Interpark' in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, in partnership with the private distribution company Interpark Co., Ltd., to support the digital transformation of small business owners.
Sodamsanghoe is the brand name of the flagship store project for small business owners, meaning "a space containing the stories (談) and products of small business owners." It is an offline store led by a private distributor where customers can experience excellent small business products, combined with an online purchase and payment system, creating an online-to-offline (O2O) linked premium store for small business owners.
Sodamsanghoe, in collaboration with Interpark, consists of a Blue Square store in Hannam-dong and an exclusive online shopping mall section.
Interpark Co., Ltd., which launched Korea's first internet shopping mall service, plans to leverage its accumulated know-how to discover about 10,000 excellent small business products annually and provide comprehensive support from education, consulting, marketing, special exhibitions, and live commerce to the entire process from online entry to store opening.
In particular, to reduce the burden on small business owners, a favorable commission rate will be applied to participating companies, and the adjacent Nemo (NEMO) Hall next to Blue Square will be set up as a pop-up store for exhibitions and experiences, linking various online and offline special events to attract consumer interest.
