The 'Digital Warrior Program' is a training program designed to cultivate ambidextrous talents equipped with both practical job skills and digital capabilities by teaching core major subjects from the Department of Computer Science at KAIST to employees who previously worked in branches and headquarters unrelated to ICT.
The 40 employees selected in June completed a one-month online training course on basic programming languages, followed by six months of coursework at KAIST's main campus in Daejeon, including advanced programming, data structures, introduction to algorithms, introduction to software engineering, and introduction to databases.
Before completion, participants also presented programs they developed based on the knowledge gained from the program, covering a total of 12 ideas such as a risk management system using machine learning and a real estate recommendation program based on income and assets. After returning to their workplaces, they will be assigned to ICT and digital-related departments considering their digital capabilities and aptitudes accumulated over six months, where they will utilize their skills.
Following the successful operation of the first cohort of the 'Digital Warrior Program,' Hana Bank is currently selecting the second cohort to continue this DNA. A significant number of employees who prepared in advance by obtaining digital certifications and pre-learning programming languages participated in the application process, resulting in a competition ratio of approximately 7 to 1.
