Korea P&G signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in 2014 with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family to support single-parent families through the ‘Thank You Mom Helping Hands Campaign’ and has continuously supported single-parent families under the philosophy of ‘Supporting all mothers in the world.’ Over the five years since the agreement, it has delivered P&G household products and support funds worth 50 million KRW annually to single-parent welfare facilities, and employees have directly visited welfare facilities to volunteer their talents by painting murals, decorating playrooms, and assembling furniture.
This year, the focus was especially on supporting single-parent families who had a harder time due to COVID-19. Through the Children and Future Foundation, oral-B toothbrushes, Downy detergent, and fabric softeners were delivered to more than 50 single-parent family welfare facilities nationwide, including the metropolitan area, Chungcheong, Gyeongnam, Honam, and Jeju. Snack packages and stationery sets for children were also gifted to encourage their dreams. As an extension of family support activities for families with diverse backgrounds, Pampers diapers, oral-B toothbrushes, and Downy detergent were donated for pediatric patients and their families at Boramae Medical Center in Seoul.
