[2022 Regular Admission] Kyung Hee University Introduces New Equal Opportunity Track with 100% CSAT Selection
Kyung Hee University has established a new 'Equal Opportunity Admission' based on the CSAT for the 2022 regular admissions. A total of 2,240 students will be admitted through regular admissions, an increase of 692 from last year.
Kyung Hee University will accept regular admission applications from December 31 to January 3. All departments will be recruited in a single group, either Group A or Group B. The Seoul Campus belongs to Group A, while the International Campus and medical departments belong to Group B. The announcement of successful candidates for Groups A and B (general admission and physical education) will be on January 25, and for other admission types on February 8.
Kyung Hee University has introduced an Equal Opportunity Admission that selects students 100% based on the CSAT. Applicants eligible include students from farming and fishing villages, basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income families, and single-parent family support recipients. The medical department's recruitment group has changed from Group A to Group B. Additionally, new departments have been established: Big Data Application in the College of Business (13 students), Artificial Intelligence in the Department of Computer Engineering, College of Software Convergence (17 students), and Smart Farm Science in the College of Life Sciences (20 students). The Department of Pharmacy has been newly established as a 6-year undergraduate program. The Department of Sports Guidance and Department of Taekwondo in the College of Physical Education, which were selected 100% based on the CSAT last year, have changed to 90% CSAT and 10% school records this year.
Depending on the recruitment unit, the humanities and social sciences reflect Korean, Mathematics, two subjects from Social Studies or Science, English, and Korean History, while the natural sciences reflect Korean, Mathematics (Calculus or Geometry), two subjects from Science, English, and Korean History. The arts and physical education fields reflect Korean, English, and one subject from Social Studies or Science.
For each CSAT subject area, Korean and Mathematics use standard scores, while English and Korean History use Kyung Hee University's grade conversion scores. The subject weighting differs by field: ▲Humanities: Korean 35%, Mathematics 25%, English 15%, Social Studies 20%, Korean History 5% ▲Social Sciences: Korean 25%, Mathematics 35%, English 15%, Social Studies 20%, Korean History 5% ▲Natural Sciences: Korean 20%, Mathematics 35%, English 15%, Science 25%, Korean History 5%.

The Kyung Hee University Admissions Office website provides competition rates and yield rates for the 2019?2021 academic years, as well as the average percentile scores by CSAT subject for the top 80% of final enrollees.
