Son Heung-min Named 'Asian Men's Player of the Year' by International Federation of Football History & Statistics
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Son Heung-min (29, Tottenham) has been honored as the Asian Male Player of the Year by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
According to the list of AFC players of the year announced on the IFFHS website on the 18th (Korean time), Son Heung-min was named Male Player of the Year. Son was also selected as the Best Asian Male Player of 2020 by IFFHS in January this year, earning him the honor for two consecutive years in this category.
Son scored 22 goals for his club Tottenham in the 2020-2021 season and has scored 7 goals in the 2021-2022 season so far.
