Namwon City Health Center, Excellence in Integrated Health Promotion Project... 7 Consecutive Years of Achievement

[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City, Jeollabuk-do (Mayor Lee Hwan-joo) was selected as an excellent institution in the 2021 Jeollabuk-do Integrated Health Promotion Project.

According to the city on the 16th, the Integrated Health Promotion Project is a project that integrates 13 health projects to eliminate boundaries between project areas, analyzes community health issues and residents' demands, and provides health promotion services.

The city has been selected as an excellent institution for seven consecutive years since 2013, and this year again received excellent results in the evaluation of the Integrated Health Promotion Project, proving that the city is a healthy city.

In particular, this year, even under the COVID-19 infectious disease response system, non-face-to-face health promotion projects such as non-face-to-face health promotion for self-quarantined individuals (595 households), Walk On walking challenge (1,682 people), and youth smoking cessation video contest (18 teams) were developed.

It received very good evaluations for increasing the perceived effectiveness of health projects by resolving health problems of vulnerable groups in the blind spots of healthcare.

An official from Namwon City Public Health Center said, “We will continuously do our best to diversify health promotion projects to realize phased daily recovery amid the spread of COVID-19 and to take care of the health of each citizen.”
