PBL is a contract method where defense companies take full responsibility for logistics support of contracted items and receive performance bonuses or penalties based on achievement. So far, KAI has carried out PBL projects for 8 aircraft types worth about 900 billion KRW, and with the expansion of domestic aircraft types such as KF-21 and LAH, the market size is expected to grow. Additionally, including PBL projects, KAI aims to increase its logistics support (MRO) business to around 1 trillion KRW by 2030.
