Hwasun-gun Launches 'Avoid Travel and Gatherings' Campaign for Year-End and New Year Period

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) is recently conducting the ‘We Must Stop COVID-19 Here’ campaign, urging restraint in travel and gatherings during the year-end and New Year period.

According to the county on the 14th, in response to the nationwide spread of COVID-19 and the increase in local confirmed cases, a campaign was held on the 13th at the Goindol Traditional Market, promoting social distancing and adherence to quarantine guidelines.

About 50 participants, including county office officials and safety security officers, attended the campaign to promote COVID-19 prevention rules such as wearing masks, refraining from visiting other regions, getting tested after visiting other regions, canceling or postponing year-end and New Year gatherings and events, and actively undergoing diagnostic testing to market merchants and visitors.

A county official said, “We ask residents to become the main agents of quarantine by strictly following the prevention rules and cooperate to block the spread.”
