Samsung SDI Promotes 21 Executives Including First Vice President in His 40s
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Samsung SDI conducted its regular executive personnel reshuffle for 2022 on the 9th, promoting its first-ever vice president in his 40s.
On this day, Samsung SDI promoted a total of 21 executives, including 6 vice presidents, 14 senior managers, and 1 master. Samsung SDI explained that it comprehensively evaluated management performance and growth potential based on a meritocratic personnel policy.
As part of early cultivation of young management, Senior Manager Choi Ik-gyu, in his 40s, who led the development of next-generation battery materials, was promoted to vice president. Additionally, Senior Managers Kim Hyun-soo and Baek Seung-gi, who drove global productivity improvement and quality innovation; Senior Manager Park Jong-seon, who led client expansion and profitability improvement; and Senior Managers Kim Pan-bae and Seo Heon, who contributed to business growth and strengthening business competitiveness, were promoted from senior manager to vice president.
