[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Home&Shopping (CEO Kim Ok-chan) announced on the 9th that it has donated 50 million KRW to the Nonghyup Rural Coexistence Cooperation Fund to support apple farms nationwide struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The donated 50 million KRW will be used for coexistence marketing discount events to promote apple consumption nationwide, including Gyeongbuk, Chungbuk, Jeonbuk, and Gyeongnam. The discount event will be held for seven days from today until the 15th, and apples will be sold at Nonghyup Hanaro Distribution direct stores, affiliates, and major Nonghyup and livestock cooperatives' Hanaro Marts nationwide at a discount of 1,000 KRW per bag.
Since 2014, Home&Shopping has taken the lead in promoting the consumption of domestic agricultural products and stabilizing prices through a total of 900 million KRW in coexistence marketing sponsorships. This time, it has contributed a total of 100 million KRW, with 50 million KRW each for coexistence marketing sponsorship to promote apple consumption and support projects for purchasing agricultural products for vulnerable groups.
