LG OLED Evo Wearing 'Objet Collection' Targets Premium Market
High-Quality OLED Picture and Premium Design... Moving Cover Applied
On Sale from the 15th of This Month, 1 Million Won Cashback for Buyers
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyeyoung] LG Electronics' ambitious product, the 'OLED Evo,' is entering the premium market adorned with the Objet Collection.
On the 8th, LG Electronics announced the official launch of the OLED Evo Objet Collection, featuring top-tier picture quality and sophisticated design.
According to LG Electronics, the new 65-inch OLED Evo model applies the industry's first-ever 'Art Objet Design.' This breaks the conventional TV installation methods limited to wall-mounting or stands by allowing the TV to be installed leaning against or flush with the wall.
The design is enhanced by placing a square metal frame screen and a moving cover vertically. The speakers installed behind the moving cover deliver up to 4.2-channel surround sound with 80W output. When installed at an angle, the rear space can be utilized to neatly organize peripheral devices and cables.
The moving cover's height can be adjusted using a dedicated remote control. It can be styled in Line View, which shows only part of the screen, or Full View, which displays the entire screen. In Line View, the TV can be used as a clock or for music listening when not watching TV, while Full View allows users to enjoy exclusive themes for the LG OLED Evo Objet Collection.
LG Electronics applied fabric from the Danish premium brand Kvadrat to the moving cover. Customers can choose from three colors: Beige, Redwood, and Green, and can later purchase and replace the cover separately.
LG Electronics will start selling the OLED Evo Objet Collection from the 15th of this month. The selling price is 9.9 million KRW, and customers will receive a 1 million KRW cashback benefit. The first 100 customers to purchase will receive a voucher for one Kvadrat cover exchange.
Additionally, from the 10th of this month for two weeks, LG Electronics plans to showcase the high-end spatial design of the OLED Evo Objet Collection through a pop-up exhibition at LG Best Shop The Hyundai Seoul, collaborating with art flagship stores and select shops.
