Gwangju Buk-gu, Recruiting 6,865 Participants for 2022 Senior Job Program
For Seniors Aged 65 and Over Receiving Basic Pension

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 7th that it will recruit 6,865 elderly participants for the '2022 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project' until the 14th.
This year, the project will cover a total of 63 programs in 4 fields, including recyclable resource management, delivery of love lunchboxes, school zone traffic support, and school environment maintenance.
Eligible participants are residents aged 65 or older (60 or older for some social service-type projects and market-type projects) who receive basic pensions and have a registered address in Buk-gu and are physically capable.
Working conditions for public service activity type require working at least 30 hours per month (within 3 hours per day), with an activity allowance of 270,000 KRW paid; for market-type, conditions are determined according to the executing agency's own regulations.
Participants will be selected by the executing agencies based on a scoring table in order of highest scores, and the final participants will be confirmed and individually notified by the 31st.
Recipients of livelihood benefits under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, those rated under long-term care insurance, and participants in job projects promoted by government ministries and local governments are excluded from selection.
To participate, applicants should prepare related documents such as a resident registration certificate and COVID-19 vaccination certificate and apply at the local administrative welfare center and senior job executing agency in their residential area.
Mayor Moon said, "We will continue to promote various welfare projects to stabilize the lives of local seniors and expand opportunities for social participation."
