Ford "Next Year, New SUVs Including Bronco to Launch in Large Numbers"
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Ford Korea announced on the 6th that it will introduce five new SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) models in the domestic market next year, including the Bronco.
The representative new car for next year is Ford's iconic off-road SUV Bronco, which has been attracting great attention from consumers since its launch in the North American market last July.
The Bronco, meaning "wild horse," is Ford's authentic off-roader SUV model revived after about 25 years. It features an exterior that reinterprets the design elements of the first-generation Bronco, which was first launched in 1966 and enjoyed tremendous popularity in the North American market, with a modern sensibility.
The model has been reborn with a modern reinterpretation while maintaining the original design of the first-generation model, including the flat and angular Bronco lettering grille and round headlamps.
In addition, Ford's proud four-wheel-drive off-road driving technology and various safety and convenience features that can more flexibly respond to various outdoor activities have been applied. The Bronco is scheduled to be launched in the domestic market in the second quarter of next year.
Besides this, Ford Explorer Hybrid, Lincoln Nautilus and Lincoln Navigator, and the facelifted Ford Expedition models are also scheduled to be released.
Ford Korea plans to launch the Explorer Hybrid model within the first quarter of 2022 to provide consumers with a wider range of choices, following the release of the Explorer Platinum trim in January.
The Explorer has been a leading model in the domestic imported large SUV market and has consistently played the role of Ford's flagship SUV model. The addition of the Explorer Hybrid model is expected by the company to further strengthen competitiveness in the domestic large SUV segment.
