This decline appears to be influenced by remarks from Moderna's CEO that existing COVID-19 vaccines may not be effective against the Omicron variant. Earlier, Stefan Bancel, CEO of U.S. pharmaceutical company Moderna, said in an interview with foreign media, "The existing vaccines do not have the same effect as they did with the Delta variant," adding, "In fact, their effectiveness seems to be reduced."
