Jeong Eun-bo, Financial Supervisory Service Chief, Reports Assets of 6.4 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Sunmi Park] Jung Eun-bo, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, reported assets worth 6.4 billion KRW, including a detached house in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
According to the asset registration details of 59 individuals subject to the November special asset disclosure published in the official gazette by the Government Ethics Committee on the 26th, Governor Jung reported assets totaling 6,468,860,000 KRW, including land, housing, and deposits.
The detached house in Bangbae-dong, Seoul, jointly owned with his spouse, was reported at 4,062,000,000 KRW, and the land in Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, owned by Governor Jung himself, was reported at 2,098,550,000 KRW. Deposits held by himself, his spouse, eldest son, and eldest daughter amounted to 1,947,000,000 KRW. Additionally, a vehicle registered under his spouse's name worth 50,000,000 KRW and bonds under his name worth 200,000,000 KRW were also reported.

The individuals subject to this asset disclosure were high-ranking public officials appointed or retired between August 2 and September 1. Governor Jung ranked third in asset value among those disclosed. Kim Dae-jin, President of Korea National University of Arts, reported the highest assets at 15,894,330,000 KRW, followed by Lee Won-hee, Vice President of Hankyong National University under the Ministry of Education, with 9,869,070,000 KRW.
