First Overseas Travel Products Sold on 'Homeplus Live' Channel... 'Live Special Prices'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Homeplus announced on the 25th that it will introduce its first overseas travel products through its own live commerce platform.
On the 26th, the 'Homeplus Live' broadcast on the My Homeplus application (app) will offer special prices on Guam free travel packages. This is the first overseas travel product introduced by Homeplus on its live broadcast.
The broadcast, themed "Warm Winter Travels," is a special feature on Guam travel packages, a popular winter destination. It is an airtel package exclusively planned for 'Homeplus Live' by Modetour, including Jeju Air and Jin Air tickets and accommodations at Tsubaki Hotel and Lotte Hotel, offering 3-night 4-day and 3-night 5-day free travel packages. Guam allows travel without self-quarantine upon completion of COVID-19 vaccination (as of November 25 entry).
All customers who make reservations during the broadcast will receive a rental car (24 hours), hotel breakfast for the entire stay, and pickup service (airport-hotel). The first 20 teams to book will receive an additional 200,000 KRW discount, and through a lottery, 3 people will get the Tsubaki Hotel floating breakfast option, and 5 people will receive a Lotte Hotel room upgrade benefit.
Meanwhile, Homeplus launched 'Homeplus Live' on November 12 last year and has held 51 live broadcasts featuring core flyer products at special live prices. Customers can ask questions in real-time chat to the host 'Homdi (Homeplus DJ),' and buyers appearing as co-hosts provide vivid information such as product features, production area trends, and sourcing behind-the-scenes stories in a 'talk shopping (talk show + shopping)' format. 'The number of viewers for 'Homeplus Live' increased about 9.6 times from around 4,000 in the first broadcast to 39,000 by the 50th broadcast, with a maximum view count of 127,200 per episode.
