Germany IFO Business Climate Index at 96.5... Below Expectations
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jaehee] The German Economic Research Institute (IFO) announced on the 24th (local time) that the November Business Climate Index, which indicates the business confidence of German companies, recorded 96.5.
This is a decline from the previous month (97.7). It also fell slightly short of the Bloomberg consensus forecast of 96.7.
In the same month, the IFO Expectations Index, which reflects the economic outlook for the next six months, fell slightly to 94.2 from 95.4 in the previous month. The IFO Current Conditions Index, which indicates the current economic situation, also decreased slightly from 100.1 to 99.
