Yoo Tae-oh "Lee Je-hoon and Chun Woo-hee's Surprise Appearance, Getting Closer Over Tea and Movies" (Interview)
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actors Lee Je-hoon and Chun Woo-hee make a surprise appearance in Yoo Tae-oh's documentary film Log in Belgium.
Yoo Tae-oh said in a video interview held on the morning of the 24th, "I occasionally meet Lee Je-hoon and Chun Woo-hee to play board games and enjoy watching movies together."
The documentary film Log in Belgium, in which actor Yoo Tae-oh participated in planning, production, directing, cinematography, editing, and music, depicts stories found in a virtual world through the sensibility of cinema after being isolated in a strange hotel in Antwerp, Belgium, following the pandemic declaration.
Regarding Lee Je-hoon and Chun Woo-hee’s surprise appearance in the domestic filming, Yoo Tae-oh explained, "We naturally captured a scene where I bought meat for them while monitoring the work."
Yoo Tae-oh talked about how their friendship developed: "I met Lee Je-hoon at an event, exchanged contact information, and then naturally kept in touch through text messages. Later, we watched movies together, had meals, and talked about acting, building a good relationship."
About Chun Woo-hee, he said, "We became close after working together on the film Vertigo (2018), and we still keep in touch. None of the three of us drink much alcohol. We became close by meeting up, drinking tea together, watching movies, and playing board games. Our genuine selves are reflected in the film."
He continued, "When I said I wanted a scene to be included in the middle of the documentary, the two immediately understood my intention. They suggested watching a movie together and talking, so we captured that moment as it was without reenactment. We needed a transition between Korea and Belgium, and I’m really grateful for that."
