Daegu City Ranks 2nd in 2021 Village Enterprise Support Agency Business Evaluation ... Excellence Award for 8 Consecutive Years
Corporation Community and Economy, Strengthening the Self-Sustainability of Village Enterprises and Fostering Hub Village Enterprises
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Daegu city village enterprise support organization ‘Community and Economy’ was selected as the 2nd place nationwide in the ‘2021 Village Enterprise Support Organization Business Performance Evaluation.’
The village enterprise support organization evaluation is conducted annually by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to review the one-year operational performance of village enterprise support organizations in 17 cities and provinces nationwide and to promote excellent cases.
The incorporated association Community and Economy implemented policies such as strengthening self-sustainability to restore the village power and corporate power of village enterprises, fostering regional hub village enterprises, online promotion and sales channel support to overcome the COVID-19 situation, and pioneering sales channels through collaboration among village enterprises.
They conducted basic education on village enterprises targeting more than 20 apartment complexes to promote village enterprises and newly attempted to discover new models using self-sustaining organizations within apartments, receiving high scores from the evaluation committee.
Center Director Kim Jaekyung said, “This result was achieved through the support and cooperation of village enterprise representatives, workers, support organizations, and the entire Daegu city,” adding, “We will firmly establish the original identity of village enterprises, revitalize the local economy, and create better jobs.”
