Government Recalls Two Tires from Zeknova and Zenko for "Safety Standard Non-Compliance"
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Two tire products from the brands Jeknova and Zenko have been recalled due to non-compliance with safety standards.
The National Institute of Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy conducted a safety investigation on 77 passenger car and light truck tires, and on the 24th announced that it issued orders for collection and other measures for two products that failed the high-speed performance standards: Jeknova's 'RS606 R4' and Zenko's 'GENCO G7' models.
In this investigation, which checked high-speed performance, durability, and labeling, both products were found to be at risk of injury due to damage occurring during high-speed performance tests. The Zenko product also had insufficient labeling, such as the importer’s name and address.
These products have been registered in the hazardous product sales blocking system linked to nationwide retail stores and online shopping malls, thereby blocking their distribution in the market.
