LH Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters Donates 9.5 Million Won to Support Nutrition for Children from Low-Income Families
Funds to Be Used for Side Dish Lunchboxes and Daily Necessities for 50 Low-Income Families in Gwangju Metropolitan City
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Good Neighbors Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters (Director Bae Junyeol) announced on the 23rd that it received a donation of 9.5 million KRW from LH Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters (Director Lee Jaero) to support nutrition for children from low-income families.
The donation ceremony was held with the attendance of Bae Junyeol, Director of Good Neighbors Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, Lee Jaero, Director of LH Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, and Choi Kangnim, Head of the Gwangju Support Group of the Regional Children's Center.
This donation was raised as part of LH Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters' "Our Family's Strong Lunchbox" project fund and is planned to be used for side dish lunchboxes and living supplies support for 50 low-income households residing in rental housing within Gwangju Metropolitan City.
The "Our Family's Strong Lunchbox" project was planned to guarantee the developmental rights of children from low-income families who have difficulty maintaining balanced nutrition due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
To provide practical help to families, handmade soaps made by LH Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters employees, along with living supplies and side dish lunchboxes, will be delivered.
Bae Junyeol, Director of Good Neighbors Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, said, "Protecting the developmental rights of children in crisis families requires much attention from the local community," adding, "I am pleased to be able to carry out a project to protect the developmental rights of children from low-income families together with LH Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters through this opportunity."
