As of 9 PM, 2,219 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed Nationwide
According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments on the 20th, the total number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases nationwide from 0:00 to 9:00 PM on the same day was 2,219. This is the total number of confirmed cases from 16 out of 17 provinces, excluding Busan.
This figure is 677 fewer than the 2,896 confirmed cases reported from 16 provinces at the same time the previous day. It appears that the decrease in confirmed cases is due to a reduction in the number of tests conducted over the weekend.
Looking at the regions where confirmed cases were reported on this day, 1,756 cases were from the metropolitan area and 463 cases from non-metropolitan areas. By province, the numbers are as follows: Seoul 1,117, Gyeonggi 433, Incheon 206, Gwangju and Gyeongnam 70 each, Gangwon 61, Chungnam 47, Daejeon 43, Daegu 42, Jeonnam 38, Jeonbuk 29, Gyeongbuk 26, Jeju 15, Chungbuk 13, and Ulsan 9.
