Kimchi Day, Let's Make Kimchi... Busan Education Office Operates 'Online Family Nutrition Experience Program'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold a special event on November 22 to celebrate Kimchi Day.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Nutrition Education Experience Center will operate an 'Online Family Nutrition Experience Program' for 600 educational families from the 20th to the 27th.
The program helps families communicate and improve dietary habits by making traditional food kimchi at home using pre-distributed kimchi experience kits. It will be conducted online to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19.
The kits consist of a kimchi experience kit and a learning experience kit.
On the 20th, 30 families will receive the kits via drive-thru at the Nutrition Education Experience Center parking lot. From November 22 to 26, 270 households will receive the kits delivered in iceboxes.
Sixty sets will be provided to multicultural families unfamiliar with our food culture, allowing them to experience and taste traditional food and food culture.
