View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] A story of a customer who left a review saying "delicious" despite the noodles being soggy after the delivery was delayed by more than tens of minutes is touching many.
On the 10th, a story from a novice self-employed person was posted on the self-employed online community 'Apeunikka Sajangida' (Because It's Hard, I'm a Boss).
The writer, Mr. A, who introduced himself as the owner of a noodle specialty restaurant for three months, said, "I received a delivery request at 5:43 PM today. The delivery driver was assigned in just 18 seconds, and the driver picked up the food at 5:53 PM, 10 minutes after the delivery request," he began.
However, Mr. A forgot to check whether the food was delivered properly as he was responding to other orders. When he checked the POS system, the order registered at 5:43 PM had already been delayed for more than tens of minutes without delivery.
In a hurry, Mr. A sent a text message directly to the customer around 6:28 PM, saying, "The delivery driver seems to be unfamiliar with the route and is very late. The noodles are probably very soggy, so I am contacting you first," and politely apologized, "If there is any problem after receiving it, please feel free to contact this number. I am sorry."
It took another 10 minutes after Mr. A sent the text message for the delivery to finally be completed. It took about 40 minutes from when the delivery driver picked up the food to when it was delivered. The noodles were obviously soggy and the broth cold.
Mr. A, a self-employed person in his third month, expressed his feelings at the time, saying, "The world still seems worth living in." The photo is unrelated to specific expressions in the article. / Photo by Yonhap News

The customer said, "The noodles were very soggy and cold, but I ate it deliciously," and added, "I understand that you had trouble finding this place, so don't worry. This is the most delicious dish I have ever ordered," sending words of encouragement.
Mr. A replied, "I was very touched by the customer's message. If you have a chance, please visit the store once," and added, "I want to serve you a hot bowl of food. I am really sorry today, and thank you for the message." The customer responded to Mr. A's apology with an emoticon of hearts in their eyes.
In the post on 'Apeunikka Sajangida,' Mr. A shared his feelings at the time, saying, "In my third month of self-employment, I kept making mistakes and was so bad at work that I even cried because of myself. There were times I wanted to cry because there were no customers, because I fought with my husband, and because I received a 3-star rating for the first time," and added, "It was the first time I cried because it was so warm like today."
