According to Yeongam Police Station on the 12th, around 1 p.m. that day, a 1-ton cargo vehicle traveling on a one-lane road in one direction in Miam-myeon, Yeongam-gun, rear-ended the back of a 25-ton cargo vehicle parked on the shoulder.
The 1-ton cargo vehicle was a double cab (second-row seats) vehicle, reportedly carrying 6 people from the same village.
As a result of the accident, one person riding in the passenger seat died, and the remaining five sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital.
