Online Global Forum for Japanese Talent Held
Recruiting in Next-Generation Batteries, Materials, and Basic Chemistry Fields
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Innovation is holding an event to recruit master's and doctoral talents from Japanese universities who excel in next-generation batteries, materials, and basic chemicals.
On the 12th, SK Innovation announced that it held the 'SK innovation CONNECT Japan' online forum to strengthen its network with Japanese universities and research institutions.
Based on its basic chemical research and development capabilities, SK Innovation has achieved results in new growth core businesses such as batteries and separators. Furthermore, as it prepares for future businesses like next-generation batteries, the company aims to secure key talents to further strengthen its business competitiveness.
In line with this purpose, Lee Sung-joon, Head of the Environmental Science and Technology Institute and SK Innovation's Chief R&D Officer, personally hosted the event. He introduced the core contents of the company's 'Carbon to Green' business and the research fields and development directions being focused on to achieve this, to outstanding master's and doctoral talents from Japanese universities and research institution participants.
To secure global talents to execute its green business, SK Innovation held a global forum in the United States last month. This event is the second following the U.S. event. At the U.S. event, SK Innovation's Chief Officer Kim Jun expressed his determination to double the number of R&D personnel by 2030, strengthening R&D capabilities to accelerate the speed and success potential of the strategy shifting 'from Carbon to Green.'
