Exemplary Case Discovery and Award Ceremony: Pureun City Seoul Award Ceremony to be Held on the 12th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 12th that it will hold the '2021 Green City Seoul Awards Contest' to discover and spread exemplary cases of planting and cultivating flowers and trees in daily surroundings, selecting and awarding 30 teams.
This Green City Seoul Awards Contest selected 30 teams out of 132 applicants through document and on-site evaluations conducted by a judging panel composed of experts from various fields and citizen representatives. The 'Green City Seoul Awards' ceremony will be held online via the 'Seoul, Blooming with Flowers' YouTube channel. Awarded teams will receive the Seoul Mayor's Award and a total prize money of 47 million KRW.
The Green City Seoul Awards Contest is a competition aimed at fostering citizens' pride and spreading garden culture by awarding outstanding cases of creating gardens through planting and cultivating flowers and trees in living spaces such as neighborhoods, schools, buildings and commercial areas, and private and communal residences throughout Seoul.
Seoul City will award a total of 47 million KRW in prize money to 30 teams: 2 teams for the Grand Prize (5 million KRW) in the private-led and public-private cooperation category, 4 teams for Excellence Award (3 million KRW), 10 teams for Encouragement Award (2 million KRW), 10 teams for Sprout Award (300,000 KRW), and 4 teams for Special Award (500,000 KRW).
