As of 6 PM, 1,553 New COVID-19 Cases Nationwide

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] From midnight to 6 p.m. on the 10th, the number of new COVID-19 cases nationwide was counted at 1,553. This is the total number of confirmed cases from 16 out of 17 metropolitan cities and provinces, excluding Busan.
This is 284 fewer than the 1,837 cases recorded at the same time the previous day, and 139 fewer compared to 1,692 cases recorded at the same time a week ago (the 3rd).
By region, the metropolitan area accounted for 1,240 cases, and non-metropolitan areas accounted for 313 cases. By city and province, Seoul had 675 cases, Gyeonggi 395, Incheon 170, Gyeongnam 62, Chungnam 46, Daegu 40, Gyeongbuk 33, Daejeon 26, Chungbuk 25, Jeonbuk 23, Gangwon 22, Jeju 14, Gwangju 12, Jeonnam 9, and Ulsan 1.

Since there is still time until the data cutoff, the number of new confirmed cases announced as of midnight on the 11th is expected to increase further. On the previous day, an additional 588 cases were added between 6 p.m. and midnight, bringing the final total to 2,425 cases.
