According to the county on the 10th, this crackdown targeted residential areas with frequent complaints, focusing on business vehicles (trucks, buses) and construction machinery illegally parked for more than one hour outside their registered parking lots from midnight until 4 a.m. the following day.
Illegal overnight parking of business vehicles and construction machinery not only causes living inconveniences such as noise and exhaust complaints in nearby residential areas but also obstructs the visibility of other drivers and pedestrians, leading to vehicle collisions and pedestrian accidents. Therefore, the need for enforcement to prevent safety accidents has been continuously raised.
In response, Yeongam-gun formed its own enforcement team and has been steadily conducting guidance activities to eradicate illegal overnight parking of business vehicles and construction machinery.
