Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation and AVPN Co-Host the 'Northeast Asia Social Impact Summit'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation announced that from the 10th for three days, it will co-host the 'AVPN Northeast Asia Social Impact Summit' with the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) at Heyground Seongsu Starting Point and Shinhan Square Bridge Seoul, located in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
The event will be attended by companies, foundations, investors, and innovative enterprises from across Northeast Asia that create social impact through sustainable investment, discussing various topics such as economic inequality deepened by COVID-19, social polarization, and environmental crises.
Shinhan Financial will present its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management strategy based on the group's ESG slogan announced last September, "Do the Right Thing for a Wonderful World," as well as cases of creating social impact through fostering the startup ecosystem and business strategies through social value measurement.
The event will feature speakers including Shinhan Financial Group Vice Presidents Junsik Ahn and Seonghyun Park, AVPN Chairperson and CEO Naina Subhawal Batra, and Moody's Northeast Asia Branch CEO Wendy Cheng, and will be broadcast live online considering the COVID-19 situation.
