LG Household & Health Care Contributes 6 Billion KRW to Rural Coexistence Cooperation Fund

On the 10th, LG Household & Health Care announced that it signed an agreement to contribute to the Rural-Fishing Village Win-Win Fund with the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries (hereinafter the Cooperation Foundation).
Through this agreement, LG Household & Health Care will regularly provide cosmetics, daily necessities, and other goods worth approximately 6 billion KRW over three years to low-income rural fishing and farming households, female farmers and fishers, youth, and elderly living alone who are struggling due to natural disasters, COVID-19, and other difficulties.
LG Household & Health Care plans to carry out various social contribution activities, focusing on rural fishing and farming areas in the Chungcheong region where its major business sites are located, in cooperation with non-profit organizations and local governments. These activities include revitalizing local festivals, supporting female farmers, and conducting environmental and career programs for youth.
The signing ceremony held the day before was attended by Heonyoung Park, Executive Director of LG Household & Health Care, and Sooncheol Kim, Secretary General of the Cooperation Foundation. Secretary General Kim said, “The in-kind contribution from LG Household & Health Care is the largest since the legalization of in-kind contributions,” and added, “We will actively cooperate so that LG Household & Health Care can continue to engage in win-win cooperation with rural fishing and farming communities and ESG activities.”
