View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 5th that it has signed a win-win cooperation and mutual growth business agreement with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled (Chairman Jo Hyang-hyun, hereinafter referred to as KEAD).
Both parties agreed to actively cooperate in ▲ joint support for win-win cooperation type mutual aid for the disabled ▲ mentoring for social economy enterprises and start-ups of standard workplaces for the disabled ▲ activation of employment for the disabled, and to work together to realize the value of win-win cooperation and mutual growth between small and medium enterprises and disabled workers.
In particular, the win-win cooperation type mutual aid agreement is the first case since SBC introduced the win-win cooperation type mutual aid in 2015 to collaborate with public institutions and fully support corporate contributions. It is also the first case where SBC directly supports half of the corporate contributions using the social contribution fund created from 'employee salary rounding.'
Although the Youth Employee Tomorrow Savings Mutual Aid has positive effects in helping workers’ long-term employment and asset formation, the subscription rate among social economy enterprises and disabled workers remains low due to the burden of corporate contributions.
To improve this situation, SBC and KEAD have joined hands to support the Tomorrow Savings Mutual Aid for disabled workers employed at social economy enterprises and standard workplaces for the disabled.
SBC and KEAD will jointly support a corporate contribution of 200,000 KRW per month, providing 100,000 KRW each, for 8 disabled workers at 5 social economy enterprises.
