The commemorative ceremony held on the 4th was attended by Ha Byung-pil, Acting Governor of Gyeongnam Province, Kwon Chil-seung, Minister of SMEs and Startups, National Assembly members Yoon Young-seok (Yangsan Gap), Lee Seong-man (Incheon Bupyeong-gu Gap), Choi Seung-jae (Proportional Representation), Mayor Heo Seong-moo, Oh Se-hee, President of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, and Jo Bong-hwan, Chairman of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, among others.
At the government awards and institutional commendation ceremony, 145 individuals and organizations were honored in categories including exemplary small business owners, contributors to small business development, and outstanding small business support organizations.
At the event venue, a small business owners' field support center was set up to provide promotion and consultation on small business recovery support projects, export support, and legal and labor consultations. There were also event activities related to small business policies.
This year, a seminar was also held to explore directions for mutual growth and development of the local economy with small business owners.
Additionally, various side events were held so that small business owners and local residents could enjoy together, including a small business experience center and booths for promoting and selling excellent products.
Moreover, to showcase the skilled techniques and talents of small business owners by industry and to provide a venue for exchange and cooperation, skill competitions were separately organized in four industries: pet grooming, custom tailoring, food service, and makeup.
