'Happy Halloween Festival'... Open to Families, Couples, and Children

[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] The Samhyang-eup Residents' Autonomy Committee (Chairman Lim Dong-hyun) in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, will hold various events including a Halloween festival at Namak Central Park from the 5th to the 7th for three days.

According to the Residents' Autonomy Committee on the 3rd, this festival is being promoted to revitalize the local economy by installing Halloween sculptures and photo zones, and to restore the community through communication and harmony among residents via the programs.

Anyone nationwide can participate in the festival, and as part of the event program, a film music concert will be held for two days from the 5th to the 6th, screening the movie "Minari" from 7 PM to 9 PM.

On the 6th, the "4th Children's Grand Festival" will be held, targeting kindergarten and elementary school students, where fair judging will be conducted for submissions in two categories: drawing and writing. A total of 40 winners will be awarded, including the Jeollanam-do Governor's Award, Jeollanam-do Superintendent of Education Award, and Muan County Governor's Award.

On the 7th, anyone including families, couples, and children can enjoy guerrilla games such as ttakji-chigi (Korean traditional card flipping game), treasure hunting, and limbo. Experience tools will be provided to 500 participants.

Chairman Lim Dong-hyun said, "Through this event, we will strive to establish Namak Central Park as a place of culture and arts where diverse cultural activities and various contents can be experienced," and added, "Please enjoy the programs during the Halloween event and also make good use of the local shops that have been stagnant due to COVID-19."
