‘Wanju-gun Healing Agriculture’ Recognized Nationwide
At the Nongjincheong Central Horticulture Competition, 'Dreamtteul Healing Farm' Wins National Grand Prize
[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju-gun announced on the 3rd that Song Mina, CEO of Dreamtteul Healing Farm, won the national grand prize, equivalent to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award, in the healing agriculture program competition at the 17th Central Horticulture Competition hosted by the Rural Development Administration.
The Central Horticulture Competition is organized by the Rural Development Administration to discover excellent cases of urban and healing agriculture for the purpose of fostering public sentiment, improving quality of life, and promoting urban-rural coexistence.
This competition was carefully evaluated through written and presentation assessments based on criteria such as the creation of a healing agriculture environment, program effectiveness, and linkage with related organizations.
Dreamtteul Healing Farm (CEO Song Mina) conducted horticultural healing experience programs targeting youth and was recognized for excellence by running various programs in connection with related organizations such as senior welfare centers and dementia relief centers.
So far, Wanju-gun has established a foundation for the development of healing agriculture utilizing agricultural and rural resources to revitalize healing agriculture, and in September, enacted the "Wanju-gun Ordinance on the Promotion and Support of Healing Agriculture" to contribute to the sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas and the health promotion of Wanju residents.
