Yeongam-gun, Application and Reception of Living Support Funds for Residents Infected with or Released from COVID-19 Quarantine
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Jeon Dong-pyeong) is providing living support funds to residents who were hospitalized or released from quarantine due to COVID-19 infection to stabilize their livelihoods.
The support targets those who received hospitalization treatment or quarantine notices issued by the public health center and were notified of quarantine release, and who faithfully complied with measures according to the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act. Support is not provided if even one household member receives paid leave.
The living support fund follows the emergency living expenses announced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, providing one month's worth of support for those hospitalized or quarantined for 14 days or more.
Applications for support are made at the town or township office of the applicant's address after discharge for hospitalized individuals or after quarantine release for those quarantined. The Department of Resident Welfare verifies eligibility, including whether paid leave overlaps, before disbursing the living support funds.
