This is 240 fewer than the 1,418 cases recorded at the same time the previous day. However, compared to 957 cases recorded at the same time one week earlier on Sunday, October 24, it is 221 more.
Looking at the regions where cases were reported that day, the metropolitan area accounted for 887 cases (75.3%), and non-metropolitan areas accounted for 291 cases (24.7%). By city and province, Seoul had 445 cases, Gyeonggi 350, Incheon 92, Busan 54, Daegu 53, Chungnam 46, Gyeongnam 29, Gyeongbuk 27, Jeonbuk 19, Chungbuk 17, Gangwon 12, Ulsan 11, Jeonnam 9, Daejeon 8, Gwangju 4, and Jeju 2. Among the 17 cities and provinces nationwide, cases were reported in all regions except Sejong.

Since there is still time left until midnight when the tally closes, the number of new cases announced at midnight on the following day, November 1, is expected to increase further. On the previous day, 643 cases were added after 6 p.m., bringing the final total to 2,061.
