Gyeonggi-do Establishes Basic Plan for Family Policy
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province has established the "Gyeonggi Province Family Policy Basic Plan (2021?2025)" which includes a mid- to long-term plan for family policies such as the operation of metropolitan family centers.
This plan contains four core policies: ▲ Establishing a policy foundation to work with diverse families ▲ Strengthening the capabilities of all families and ensuring living conditions ▲ Providing care support considering family diversity ▲ Creating a gender-equal local community where work and care coexist, along with 22 detailed tasks and 51 projects.
The province will especially promote projects such as child-rearing cost support, comprehensive child-rearing services, and employment and start-up support to strengthen the capabilities of diverse families and guarantee their living conditions.

The total project cost amounts to approximately 611.5 billion KRW, including national and provincial funds.
