[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 29th, the Gwangju Immigration and Foreigners Office announced on the 30th that it conducted special quarantine guidance and patrol activities at foreigner-dense facilities such as entertainment establishments around Chungjang-ro, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, in cooperation with related organizations including Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall, to mark Halloween Day during the night.
This activity was carried out with the purpose of preventing group infections in preparation for the 'gradual recovery of daily life' to be implemented from next month, as an increase in the use of entertainment facilities by foreigners such as clubs was expected during the Halloween period.
The Gwangju Immigration and Foreigners Office guided foreigners to comply with quarantine rules, encouraged COVID-19 vaccination, and simultaneously promoted plans to provide incentives to illegal foreign residents who have completed vaccination, conducting quarantine guidance and patrol activities.
