View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Seven Eleven announced that starting from the 29th, it will sell a limited quantity of ‘LAR Sneakers’ made by recycling PET bottles and leather scraps through its mobile application (app).
LAR Sneakers were created through the plastic resource circulation project called ‘Project Loop.’ They are made by collecting discarded PET bottles and feature a modern design and comfortable fit. The soft gray color allows them to be worn with various outfits, making them highly versatile.
Project Loop is an eco-friendly project led by Lotte Chemical, with participation from Kumho Textile Industrial and the Korea Textile Development Institute. Through this project, eco-friendly sneakers and bags have been produced, and clothing and pouches are scheduled to be added in the first half of next year.
