Iljin Highsolus Joins Global Hydrogen Ecosystem Alliance
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Junhyung] Iljin High Solus, a hydrogen tank specialist company under Iljin Group, announced on the 22nd of this month that it has joined the global hydrogen ecosystem alliance 'Hyzon Zero Carbon Alliance.'
The Hyzon Zero Carbon Alliance is a strategic consortium composed of 10 global companies including hydrogen commercial vehicle manufacturers and hydrogen producers. Iljin High Solus is the only hydrogen storage solution developer among the member companies of the consortium. The company explained that through this membership, strategic partnerships with companies leading the global hydrogen industry have become possible.
Hyzon Motors plans to expand its hydrogen commercial vehicles to 40,000 units by 2025 in North America, Europe, and China based on its self-developed hydrogen fuel cell technology. Most of the hydrogen commercial vehicles produced by Hyzon Motors are hydrogen trucks for long-distance transportation. These trucks are equipped with hydrogen storage systems equivalent to about 10 Hyundai Nexo hydrogen vehicles.

Meanwhile, Iljin High Solus has been supplying hydrogen tanks to Hyundai Motor Company since 2014. Since 2018, it has been supplying all hydrogen tanks for the Nexo.
