Lotte Food Launches 'Gukhwa-ppang Hodugwaja'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Lotte Foods announced on the 28th that it will launch ‘Chrysanthemum Bread Walnut Snack,’ which combines walnut pieces and walnut ice cream.
The chrysanthemum-shaped pastry is filled with red bean syrup and walnut ice cream. The walnut ice cream contains walnut pieces, adding a savory flavor and a crunchy texture.
First released in 1999, Chrysanthemum Bread is a product that recreates street-style full bread as ice cream. It is the first mochi monaka ice cream in Korea, introduced after extensive research and experimentation to prevent the mochi component from hardening in the freezer. Upon release, it gained great popularity in the monaka ice cream market and established itself as a representative product of Lotte Foods.
