"Join Kind Consumption" LG Uplus Opens 'U+Road Online Market' Supporting Farmers and Fishermen
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] LG Uplus is supporting the normalization of management for farmers and fishermen who have faced difficulties due to COVID-19.
LG Uplus announced on the 26th that it will operate the rural coexistence project "U+Road Online Market" from the 27th of this month to the 26th of next month.
"U+Road Online Market" is part of the "U+Road" project launched in 2018 to revitalize local shopping districts. LG Uplus is partnering with "Sangsaeng Sanghoe," a store established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to support local small-scale farmers and help them find sales channels, to operate an online market that enables farmers and fishermen nationwide to pioneer non-face-to-face sales channels and boost sales.
From the 27th of this month to November 26th, LG Uplus will open the U+Road Online Market and offer excellent local agricultural and marine specialty products from across the country at discounts of up to 51%. Until the 17th of next month, new items will be launched every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11 a.m., with a total of 10 agricultural and marine products sold. Each item is limited to 4,000 units and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Remaining stock not sold out can be purchased until November 26th.
LG Uplus will donate 20% of the amount customers spend at the U+Road Online Market to the "Rural Coexistence Cooperation Fund," which is separately funded and used for social contribution projects related to rural areas.
Any U+ Mobile customer aged 14 or older can use the online market on LG Uplus's commerce platform "U+Kok." Detailed information such as opening schedules and products for sale can be found on the U+Kok platform or the LG Uplus official website event page.
