NongHyup Bank "Find Your Dormant Long-Term Inactive Trusts"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 24th that it will conduct the 'Long-term Dormant Trust Recovery' campaign from the 25th to the 19th of next month to help customers recover their assets.
A 'long-term dormant trust' refers to a trust account with no transactions for more than five years since the trust maturity date or the last transaction date, and most of these accounts have small balances. Customers holding long-term dormant trusts can visit the nearest Nonghyup Bank branch with their ID, and if the balance is 500,000 KRW or less, they can close the account through the Account Information Integration Service.
Whether a customer holds a long-term dormant trust can be checked at Nonghyup Bank branches, via internet banking, or through the Account Information Integration Service. In particular, customers with account balances of 50,000 KRW or more will be notified by mail or phone.
